Natalie Peterson Kirkham began her formal ballet training with Jacqueline Colledge School of Classical Ballet at age 8. While training she received many talent scholarships with the ballet school. Natalie was a charter member of the Utah Regional Ballet Junior Company in 1989 and became a member of the Utah Regional Ballet Corps company at age 14. She was promoted to soloist and principal dancer, dancing roles including, Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Waltz of the Flowers Pas de deux, and the Spanish variation from the Nutcracker. Bright Eyes from the Legend of Timpanogos. Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, and the shy sister in La Coquette. Natalie also has performed many repertoire works. George Balanchines Serenade, Alan Hinelines San Souci, and her favorites being Jacqueline Colledges Capriccio Espagnol and Swedish Rhapsody. She has worked with many master ballet, modern, character, and jazz teachers as well as numerous choreographers. Jacqueline Colledge, Alan Hineline, Darla Hoover, Violette Verdy, Laura Alonso, Bill Evans, Yi Qi Cheng, Troy Mundy, Dolores Wacko and Robert Kelley are just a few. She has also performed acting roles with the company such as, Cinderellas stepmother, and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. She attended UVSC (Utah Valley University) on full scholarship and taught the UVSC Beginning Ballet class, as well as various levels of ballet classes at Jacqueline's School of Ballet for 10 years. In 2010 she opened the Academy of Classical Ballet in Meridian Idaho and taught there until she and her family were relocated back to Utah in 2013. She has been teaching at JSB since that time.
